About the Role
As the Data & Insights Specialist, you will play a key role in transforming digital data into actionable insights that drive measurable success for Vision Australia’s digital channels and fundraising initiatives. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise digital marketing campaigns, user engagement, and online fundraising efforts.
  • Analyse the performance of digital marketing campaigns, SEO, and content to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across fundraising, marketing, and services teams to understand business objectives and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain digital measurement and reporting frameworks, ensuring KPIs and metrics are clearly defined and tracked.
  • Use Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics (GA4) to track and optimise digital campaigns.
  • Create visually compelling reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar tools to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
  • Educate internal teams on analytics best practices and empower them to use data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Proven experience in digital data analysis and generating actionable insights to improve marketing outcomes.
  • Experience analysing digital channels performance including content, campaigns and engagement.
  • Technical expertise in Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Analytics (GA4), and Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify complex data for diverse audiences.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing internal relationships to achieve common goals.
  • Familiarity with session recording and heatmapping tools (e.g., Hotjar, Monsido, MS Clarity) is highly desirable.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
