About the Role
As the Communications Manager, you will take ownership of all communications functions, leading a small, dynamic team. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for shaping strategic communications plans and establishing strong processes that drive quality and high performance.

Working closely with internal teams, you will play a pivotal role in amplifying the organisation’s voice, engaging members and stakeholders, and supporting key initiatives across events, membership, education, product and technical, policy and impact programs. Your leadership will be critical in delivering timely, impactful communications aligned with the organisation’s strategic direction.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the development and execution of communications strategies and action plans to support key projects and initiatives.
  • Managing the communications team, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring the delivery of all communications to a high standard.
  • Overseeing the development and delivery of content plans for core communications channels.
  • Providing strategic advice and insights to internal stakeholders to support organisational goals.
  • Contributing to integrated marketing and communications plans that enhance brand positioning and support membership engagement and retention.
  • Project managing the communications work plan, ensuring priorities are met, and deadlines are achieved.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role, you will have:
  • A degree in communications, marketing, or a related discipline, with demonstrated experience in a communications leadership position
  • Proven leadership in managing a small team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing communications projects, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Creative, adaptable, and solutions-focused with high energy and enthusiasm.
