Our client, a global leader in their industry, are looking for their next Procurement Category Manager. They are a market leader in the B2B industrial space.
 
The Procurement Category Manager is responsible for developing category procurement strategies and category plans in line with business needs and drive their implementation. This role requires the end to end running of Procurement Projects, working closely with stakeholders, negotiates related supplier contracts and manages key suppliers relationships. The key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
  • Lead cross functional teams in developing & implementing area procurement strategy for the Direct Material Category.
  • Runs end to end Procurement Projects/RFX's for specific projects.
  • Negotiates and manages supplier contracts for key suppliers within categories of spend managed.
  • Leads contract implementation and resolves in contract related issues.
  • Drives the development and improvement of category specific policies and procedures.
  • Acts as global category lead to ensure global alignment of Procurement strategies.
  • Reports monthly portfolio savings, program updates, ad hoc reports as required.
We are looking for a Procurement Category Manager with experience in managing direct spend. The ideal candidate has demonstrable experience in promoting and driving implementation of change, stakeholder management and managing supplier relationships.
