About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced Internal Communications Project Specialist to take ownership of an intranet migration and optimisation project, enhancing internal communication effectiveness across a complex, purpose-driven organisationThis short-term contract will see you lead the delivery of a restructured and user-centric intranet experience. You’ll be supported by a collaborative communications team and a reputable external digital agency, and will work closely with internal stakeholders across the organisation.
This role requires a clear communicator and strategic thinker – someone who can manage competing priorities, oversee detailed content migration plans, and ensure the intranet serves the evolving needs of internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the strategic delivery and content migration of the organisation’s SharePoint-based intranet.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to review and reprioritise content based on relevance and organisational needs.
  • Conduct stakeholder consultations (in person) to gather input, ensure alignment, and manage expectations.
  • Review and refine existing audits to ensure alignment with internal communication goals.
  • Establish intuitive information architecture and ensure templates and documentation are accessible and user-friendly.
  • Coordinate with a digital agency to ensure high-quality delivery and user experience.
About You:
  • Strategic and detail-oriented, with proven experience leading digital communication or intranet delivery projects
  • Confident managing multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines with clarity, professionalism, and forward thinking
  • Skilled in SharePoint and intranet content migration best practices
  • Experienced in developing and implementing internal communication strategies that support organisational goals
  • A strong cultural fit – collaborative, adaptable, and ready to work closely with an internal communications lead already supporting the project
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (minimum two days in office, including Wednesdays)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and change communication skills
  • Experience within not-for-profit or purpose-driven organisations is highly regarded
