This organisation partners with a range of highly visible brands across food, consumer goods, industrial and retail categories and have established themselves as a highly visible and well regarded player in their market. The role? 

The first iteration of an internal Product Development professional, there's a significant level of flexibility as to the seniority of this hire, as there will be the opportuntiy for this appointment to stream into either people leadership as the team grows, or as more of a subject matter expert who can focus on the "doing" attached to the role. 
In essence, core areas of focus for this role will include:
  • Proactive product development, working across a network of third party manufacturers to ensure that product capability, offering and specs keep them at the forefront of their industry 
  • Trend mapping and analysis - you'll be someone who understands the consumer landscape and can stay across product trends in the hardware space 
  • Strong cross-discpline engagement - your professional peer mix could be commercial/accounts side, suppliers, customers or supply chain, so you'll be required to communicate to a range of technical audiences 
  • Management of the existing portfolio of SKUs, while simultaneously juggling short, medium and longer term product pipleline. 


What we are looking for?

  • Demonstrated experience in product development, ideally within the hardware or consumer goods sectors
  • Strong communication skillsets, someone who is able to effectively interface with cross-discipline stakeholders internally, as well as external parties such as customers and suppliers 
  • Commercial acumen, someone who is able to join the dots between a good concept and a strong commercial execution and identify opportunities for success
