Head of Finance Operations

We are currently recruiting a key finance leadership role for a tier one fmcg company which is currently in a period of exciting growth and investment.  As a direct report into the CFO ANZ, the Head of Finance Operations will lead a team of 6-7 direct reports and be responsible for overseeing financial operations, risk management, and cost control in a fast-paced FMCG environment, with the purpose of ensuring financial processes align with strategic business objectives.

This critical role requires a strong financial leader who can drive operational efficiencies, optimise working capital, and manage financial risks, particularly in relation to commodity procurement, supply chain finance, and cost management.  Key areas of responsibility will include:
  • Business partnering which covers reporting of all business unit results including determining areas of improvement and influencing change
  • Financial operations including the optimisation of working capital, cash flow management and inventory-related financial strategies
  • Provide strategic oversight of commodity procurement, price risk management, and cost forecasting in collaboration with the Commodity Managers
  • Lead financial analysis and scenario planning for commodity price fluctuations, ensuring proactive risk mitigation strategies
  • Partner with procurement and supply chain teams to optimise cost structures and drive efficiencies
  • Deliver insightful financial analysis and operational reporting to support decision-making at both local and regional levels

This role has a significant impact across the procurement, supply chain, commercial and corporate finance areas of the organisation and will require a depth of operational finance experience to deliver on the role requirements.  Ideally we are seeking several years of experience in finance operations, financial planning, or cost management within the FMCG or food industry.  In return you will be joining an organisation heavily invested in its next phase, with exciting projects and expansion currently underway to ensure the high performance of the organisation continues well into the future.
