Our client is in the financial services industry and are a leading global institutional investment manager based in the CBD. 


About the role
An exciting opportunity to join one of Australia's largest funds management groups, commencing on a 6-month contract with the opportunity to be extended or transition to permanent.  Utilise your developing performance analytics and attribution experience as part of a highly regarded team.
 
We are ideally seeking candidates with a background in analytics roles within financial, investment, banking or superannuation firms ideally servicing institutional investors. Specifically you will be involved in providing timely and accurate performance and reporting including:
  • Carry out performance analytics, performance reporting and investment reporting
  • Undertake performance measurement and attribution of fund portfolios
  • Calculate performance returns on spreadsheets and prepare performance reports
  • Conduct complex attribution analysis and risk-return analysis on fund performance 
  • Provide support to the front office teams regarding portfolio validation, investigations and commentary 
In a high volume data role, with strong attention to detail required, you will display a naturally inquisitive nature and be able to identify and undertake investigation of data inconsistencies.  Experience with FactSet is a must for this role and a strong knowledge of Excel will be required.


About you
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in performance analytics/performance
  • Reporting roles at Asset Owners, Funds Management, Funds administration or Custody firm within the financial services industry, servicing institutional investors
  • Experience with FactSet is required
  • Dealing with large amounts of data with strong attention to detail required, you are advanced in Excel and able to produce technical calculations
  • Being able to identify and undertake investigation of data inconsistencies
  • Excellent performance analytics and attribution knowledge
  • Good investment market knowledge (including unlisted assets)
  • Highly developed and demonstrated problem solving, analytical & numeric and verbal/written communications skills are essential.
