About the company
Our client is a global FMCG business with a small to medium footprint in ANZ, with a head office in the southeast suburbs. They offer a hybrid working environment with 5 days in the office per fortnight. 
 
 
About the role
The position is a 12 month contract role with a very high likelihood to be extended or go perm, based in the southeast suburbs. The Commercial Analyst is responsible for the forecasting, budgeting and reporting of sales. Key elements of this role include supporting the month end process, investigating variances, as well as financial support for sales initiatives through reporting, financial modelling and facilitating data driven insights through detailed analysis. The ideal candidate enjoys finding ways to improve processes and implement efficiencies to the current processes. 
 
  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
  • Support in month-end close process
  • Be a key partner with sales for financial modelling and data-driven insights
  • Collaborate with sales revenue management for strategic opportunities
  • Develop new models and improve exisiting models
  • Implement process improvements
 
 
About you
  • You have experience in FMCG / manufacturing - desirable but not required
  • You have a minimum of 5 years experience in analyst focused roles and have a commercial mindset
  • You have experience partnering with sales and marketing teams
  • You have high attention to detail
  • You have great communication skills and enjoy building relationships with your internal stakeholders
  • You are curious and self-motivated to understand your numbers and tell their story
  • Open to part qualified, ideally looking for fully qualified - CPA/CA/CIMA
  • Large ERP system experience desirable
