Are you a hands-on Design Engineer with a passion for creative problem solving and innovative design? We have an exciting opportunity with a leading manufacturer in the heavy transport equipment space known for delivering high-quality, customizable solutions.

About the Role

This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment where you’ll blend technical drafting with practical, shop-floor expertise. You’ll play a key part in developing and refining design solutions that support a range of heavy transport equipment while working within an agile, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed technical drawings and design plans for a diverse range of heavy transport solutions
  • Deliver creative, practical solutions to complex design challenges
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to integrate design improvements on the shop floor
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, including minor electrical and soldering challenges
  • Contribute to a dynamic team environment with varied responsibilities and drive continuous process improvements
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in design engineering, ideally within heavy transport or related manufacturing sectors
  • Strong drafting skills and proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
  • Hands-on shop floor experience with a solid understanding of practical equipment challenges
  • A mechanically minded problem solver who is both creative and proactive
  • A results-driven attitude with a willingness to take initiative and exceed performance expectations
