APAC Regional Projects Control Lead
The role:
Are you a project controls leader looking for a career-defining opportunity? This client-side role offers the unique chance to see projects come to life firsthand, with the stability of continuous project work rather than the typical boom-and-bust cycle. Instead of focusing on a single mega-project, you’ll support a diverse portfolio of smaller projects, providing plenty of opportunities for career growth and deeper integration within the business. Best of all, this Melbourne-based role requires minimal travel and comes with relocation assistance and a competitive salary.
As the Associate Director, Regional Project Controls Lead, APAC, you will be responsible for driving project controls excellence across the region. You’ll work closely with and provide guidance to PMO leads, cost engineers, schedulers, risk managers, and change managers through a dotted-line reporting structure, ensuring best-in-class standards and practices are applied across all project phases. Your expertise will help shape project controls strategy, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement. If you're looking for a long-term opportunity where you can make a real impact, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring project controls best practices are consistently applied across a diverse portfolio of capital and operational projects in Australia and the APAC region. You will provide expert guidance on project scheduling, cost control, risk management, and performance tracking, working closely with PMO leads, cost engineers, schedulers, risk managers, and change managers through a dotted-line reporting structure. Your role will involve developing and refining project controls standards, conducting benchmarking and assurance reviews, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. By implementing data-driven insights and industry-leading methodologies, you will help optimise project outcomes, enhance financial forecasting, and support the business in achieving long-term success.
Requirements:
