With a large portfolio of projects relying on Python Fixings, they are proud to be leading Australia forward in securing brick and concrete masonry buildings with specifically designed and tested products. Thanks to a period of exciting sequential growth, Python Fixings are now partnering exclusively with Six Degrees Executive in their search for a new National Engineering & Sales Business Development Manager.
About the role
As National Engineering & Sales Business Development Manager, you’ll collaborate with fellow engineers, contractors, and industry leaders who share your passion for structural innovation. This role is about fostering relationships, providing technical expertise, and driving meaningful conversations that shape the future of construction. Leveraging off your Structural Engineering background, you will use your technical expertise to gain a comprehensive understanding of Python’s products, and effectively communicate the benefits of these products to the market and industry peers. You will thrive in liaising daily with your customer base, staying at the forefront of upcoming opportunities to secure product specifications and articulate the effectiveness of the Python product range proactively to market.
Responsibilities
As National Engineering & Sales Business Development Manager you will directly contribute to Python Fixings success and growth in the construction and engineering sector. This role is not just about sales; it’s about building relationships, collaborating with industry peers, and driving innovation in structural solutions. You will engage with structural engineers, contractors, architects, and distributors, positioning yourself as a knowledgeable and approachable partner in the industry. The role will also comprise of delivering engaging and technically informative presentations to aforementioned external stakeholders, who will view you as a peer and trusted expert. Collaborating closely with internal teams (administration, marketing, and technical support), you will key in helping to streamline order processing, coordinate dispatch, and provide after-sales support.

To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate
- Proven experience in technical sales, business development, or client relationship management—ideally in the construction or engineering sector
- A Bachelor’s degree (BE) in Structural Engineering or a related field, including minimum 5 years AU experience.
- Strong understanding of the commercial construction industry, including engineering principles, best practices, and innovative solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with structural engineers, contractors, architects, and distributors—many of whom will be your professional peers.
- Commitment to staying updated with construction standards, guidelines, and certifications.
