As part of their expansion into the outdoor sector, they are seeking an Area Sales Manager for QLD & NT to manage key retail accounts and drive business growth within this exciting category.
The Role
As the Area Sales Manager, you will play a key role in expanding the company’s presence in the outdoor market by developing relationships with key retailers, securing new business opportunities, and maximising sales across Queensland and the Northern Territory. Reporting to the National Sales Manager for the Outdoor Channel, this role offers the opportunity to work with a premium product portfolio and drive long-term success.

The Role
As the Area Sales Manager, you will play a key role in expanding the company’s presence in the outdoor market by developing relationships with key retailers, securing new business opportunities, and maximising sales across Queensland and the Northern Territory. Reporting to the National Sales Manager for the Outdoor Channel, this role offers the opportunity to work with a premium product portfolio and drive long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, providing tailored product solutions
- Identify and secure new business opportunities while managing an existing customer base
- Promote and sell a diverse range of premium outdoor brands, emphasising product quality and competitive advantages
- Coordinate in-store promotions, events, and staff training to enhance brand visibility and sales
- Manage customer accounts, including order processing, returns, and issue resolution
- Provide market insights and competitive analysis to internal stakeholders
- Train and support retailers on digital sales tools and online platforms
- Travel within QLD & NT to visit key accounts and attend industry events
About You
- Proven experience in sales, account management, or territory management within FMCG, outdoor, or consumer goods industries
- Strong ability to build relationships and negotiate with retailers and customers
- A results-driven mindset with a passion for premium brands
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory autonomously
- Experience in business development and customer account management
- Willingness to travel within QLD & NT as required
- Passionate about the outdoor lifestyle
