Sales Engineer / Technical Manager
About the Role
As a Sales Engineer / Technical Manager, you’ll play a key role in helping customers find the perfect compactors and custom solutions to fit their distribution and building design needs.
This role involves working closely with the sales team, managing site measurements, handling presales activities, and liaising with engineering to finalise product designs. You’ll be responsible for ensuring technical clarity, overseeing documentation, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Additionally, you’ll engage with customers, contribute to price management, attend trade shows, and collaborate with the industrial manager to enhance product solutions. Occasional site visits will be necessary to ensure full understanding of the clients expectations.
About You
We’re looking for a problem-solver with strong technical and customer interaction skills.
To succeed in this role, you should have at least five years of experience in a similar position. A background in electrohydraulic, mechanical, or electrical engineering is preferred, along with familiarity with SAP systems, estimating/quoting, and commercial contract management.
Strong organisational skills are essential, as each sale functions like a project. You should have keen attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused approach. Experience with site-specific measurements and technical sales strategies will be highly valued.
