About the Role
A rapidly-growing Australian-owned retailer is seeking a Head of Systems & Technology to oversee and optimise technology infrastructure, lead critical projects, and manage vendor relationships. This standalone role sits on the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO. It offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with flexibility and significant influence over the business’s IT direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Infrastructure and Systems operations, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Manage external vendors across Helpdesk, Cybersecurity, and Development functions.
  • Provide hands-on technical expertise while contributing strategically at the leadership level.
  • Lead IT projects, including re-platforming for multiple brands, app integration, and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) integration.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with eCommerce and digital teams to drive technology initiatives.
  • Support the business in achieving seamless Shopify and NetSuite integrations.
  • Travel annually to the US and work closely with teams across locations.
Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a hands-on, solutions-focused leader with:
  • Proven experience in retail and eCommerce environments.
  • Strong understanding of Shopify and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Experience managing IT projects, including system implementation and configuration.
  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with on-the-tools involvement.
  • A proactive, dynamic approach, comfortable with a fun and casual workplace culture.
