Six Degrees have been exclusively engaged to assist our client in the recruitment of an experienced Finance manager to lead their small and dedicated team. This is a newly created role that will utilise your financial knowledge and system expertise to drive continuous process improvement and ensure compliance with local governance, tax, and company regulations. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, both internally and externally, to deliver high-quality financial statements and business insights.

The key elements of this role include:
  • Prepare statutory financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cashflow statement) in accordance with local legal standards.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation packages as per company policy.
  • Present local financial statements to internal and external partners.
  • Prepare recurring and non-recurring tax returns.
  • Manage tax controls and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
  • Handle tax-related tasks for Australia (BAS, income tax, FBT, payroll tax, transfer pricing) and New Zealand (income tax, GST, FBT, transfer pricing).
To be successful in this role you will possess:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant.
  • 3-5+ years of business experience or extensive professional experience in Tax, Audit, General Ledger, and Statutory reporting.
  • Experience in the preparation and lodgement of Australian income tax, fringe benefits tax, and payroll tax.
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS and Local GAAP, with tax awareness and audit experience.
  • Systems - SAP 
 
This organisation has a strong preference for their senior staff to be in the office 5 days a week.
