About the business

This multinational FMCG business boasts a multi-site operational footprint, centred in Melbourne's South Eastern Suburbs. With a continued investment strategy and a strong reputation in market of supplying premium product to some of Australia's most well-known businesess.

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor will be a critical conduit between the trades and operational footprint within the business, and site Engineering leadership. Newly created, this role will help drive both people and process-centric outcomes with the site's maintenance and reliability function. Managing a small team of tradespeople, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the following areas within the business:
  • Day to day management of both inhouse and external trades professionals - mixed discipline across mechanical and electrical. Directly managing a small team
  • Driving increased utilisation of the site CMMS (MEX), with the site having an increased shift towards preventative maintenance
  • Building out of a more mature spares/stores program, digitisation of inventory and barcode system
  • Ensure adherence to the site WHS program, making sure maintenance is always conducted in a safe and efficient manner

What we are looking for

This role is well suited to a maintenance leader who has had exposure across a couple of different plant operations. You may have seen what "good" looks like regarding systems adherence and asset care in a current or previous employer and then been involved in a change journey or capability uplift program, where you have taken a site or function from current state to future state. In tangible terms, this will look like:

  • Trade qualified - open to either mechanical or electrical
  • Demonstrated leadership within an FMCG setting, with equipment exposure across automated manufacturing equipment - both processing and end of line.
  • CMMS experience - MEX ideal, but open to other similar digital programs.
  • Change management experience - systems/process driven
