With core functional demands across Maintenance, People and Safety, the Maintenance Planner is a critical conduit for multiple sites, to tie in production and operations with the critical maintenance that helps keep sites running. The role - what you'll be doing
With core functional demands across Maintenance, People and Safety, the Maintenance Planner is a critical conduit for multiple sites, to tie in production and operations with the critical maintenance that helps keep sites running. This role will support the Maintenance Manager, and be responsible for a remit including:
- Oversight of a multi-skilled trades team, encompassing both internal resources and contractors across mechanical/electrical aptitudes
- Maintenance planning - looking at both proactive/preventative and critical/reactive maintenance and planning these requirements within an operational environment. Site runs 24 hours.
- Cross-functional engagement and continuous improvement - bringing that strong critical thinking mindset, how to tie in all the fundamental operational pieces together to look at site performance holistically across production/maintenance
What we are looking for/key selection criteria
- Qualifications in a relevant field - either tertiary qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical if you're a degree qualified engineer, or trades background in Mech/Elec
- Circa 2-5 years experience in a maintenance planning role within an manufacturing setting - open to FMCG/industrial/pharmaceutical or similar.
- High level communication skills - able to tailor communication to the relevant audience, be that shopfloor or leadership level, for those within the business and partners such as suppliers/contractors etc.
