About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and reliability of equipment and facilities at our Queensland manufacturing site. This role is instrumental in driving efficiency, minimizing downtime, and ensuring that operations run smoothly to meet production goals. Reporting to the Plant Manager and working closely with cross-functional teams, the Maintenance Supervisor will lead the maintenance team, develop preventative maintenance programs, and contribute to the site’s overall performance.


Responsibilities
  • Plan, assign, supervise, and review tasks related to equipment and facility maintenance.
  • Develop, implement, and manage a robust preventative maintenance program to reduce unplanned outages.
  • Coordinate and respond to after-hours maintenance needs when required.
  • Establish and monitor inspection routines for critical equipment, site services, and safety systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting, contributing to daily, weekly, and monthly updates.
  • Support the development and enforcement of maintenance policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and service agents to ensure the availability of spare parts and services.

  • Relevant qualifications in a technical or engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Computer literacy and experience in reporting and inventory management.
  • A proactive approach to supplier relationships and budget control for spare parts.
