Due to continued growth, they are seeking a driven, results-focused State Distributor Manager (SDM) to manage distributor relationships and drive sales across the NSW/ACT region.
Role OverviewAs the State Distributor Manager – NSW/ACT, you will take a strategic leadership role in driving sales performance, managing key distributor accounts, and fostering long-term partnerships in the region. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, implement joint business plans, and work cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver business growth. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, launching new products, and ensuring the success of your team’s efforts.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, implement joint business plans, and work cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver business growth. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, launching new products, and ensuring the success of your team’s efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the sales team in your region, setting clear objectives, providing coaching, and monitoring performance.
- Develop and execute sales strategies focused on achieving both volume and margin targets.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, lasting relationships with distributor partners and key local accounts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute business plans and drive product success.
- Deliver effective product presentations, training, and sales support to both distributors and end customers.
- Create and implement joint business plans (JBP) to deliver mutual growth.
- Manage sales forecasts and ensure alignment with operational and supply teams.
- Develop and execute customer contact strategies, identifying new promotional opportunities to enhance sales.
- 5 years of experience in distributor management, key account management, or a similar sales leadership role within FMCG or the foodservice sector.
- Proven success in managing distributor relationships and driving sales growth.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce is a plus) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Highly motivated and target-driven, with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within the region.
