Our client is a leading services organisation that specialises in creating value through innovative and sustainable solutions. They are a customer-focused, growth-driven organisation, and are currently going through an exciting phase of transformation with a clearly defined 3 year strategic plan.

About the Role

This senior position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and is a key member of the commercial leadership team. This role is responsible for the continued revenue, gross margin and customer channel growth for the Local Government market across the majority of the company’s core products and service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing new profitable business, achievement of the annual sales and margin budget
• Maintaining major customer relationships, expanding the customer/membership and actively contributing to the successful development of the Local Government sector for the business.
• The position plays a key role in sales strategy and future growth of the organisation.

Skills & Experience

The individual will have a strong background across the Lcoal Government sector, they will be a sound negotiator that consistelty creates value and can demonstrate how they have delivered growth from key customers within Local Government. They will also have the following skillset:

• Exposure to Local Government markets is required, the successful candidate might even come from within the Local Government space
• Strong commercial experience operating in a multi sector sales or operational environment within the Local Govnerment sector, ideally at a national level.
• Demonstrated success in business development and customer channel growth
• An experienced senior sale and or business development professional, with a solid understanding of account management, sales administration and business pitch/tender processes
• Prior demonstrated experience effectively managing people located in geographic regions.
