Position Summary:
The Billing Officer  is a permanent part-time role (4 days per week) offering hybrid and flexible work hours. You will be responsible for overseeing all billing operations and driving innovative and efficient billing processes across our international markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and efficient billing processes
  • Oversee the entire billing cycle, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Attend weekly planning meetings to confirm billing events for new clients and manage offboarding clients via Zendesk
  • Prepare and post monthly billings (recurring and non-recurring) according to client contracts
  • Facilitate new client setup to ensure smooth operations from project initiation to invoicing
  • Prepare journals for accruals and deferrals and assist with month-end revenue reporting
  • Support data collation for the implementation of billing software (Maxio) in the US and UK
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for queries from internal and external stakeholders, liaising effectively with the sales team, clients, and finance team
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to address and manage billing challenges
  • Maintain expertise in the billing system and oversee the billings email inbox

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a billing or finance role
  • Post-secondary qualification in finance or accounting
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with software platforms such as Xero, Quickbooks, Salesforce, Zendesk, Maxio, and Asana
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and accounting principles
  • High attention to detail with exceptional problem-solving and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of prioritising and negotiating with various internal and external stakeholders
