Job description
Our client is a leading provider within the logistics industry, with a strong transformation agenda. The Procurement Pricing Manager is a newly created role reporting directly into the Head of Procurement. The role will be responsible for establishing the pricing strategy for a greenfield and large subcontracting portfolio for the organisation.
 
This role is Melbourne based.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing and executing subcontractor pricing strategies.
  • Utilising deep analytical insights to optimise costs and improve pricing models.
  • Collaborating closely with commercial teams to ensure competitive, fair, and sustainable pricing.
  • Leading initiatives for continuous improvement in subcontractor procurement processes
  • Work with senior managers across the business on embedding the pricing strategy, including updating on progress and identifying any risks
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand pain points, and embed the newly established procurement process across the business 
  • Strategic sourcing across key categories for the business ensuring cost savings, cost avoidance and security of supply
  • Monitor industry trends and market developments to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness.
  • Ensure procurement strategy is aligned with wider business strategy and initiatives
  • Identify and proactively manage any procurement risk to the business including developing risk mitigation plans 

Essential Skills:
  • Extensive experience in procurement, pricing strategy, and subcontractor management.
  • Essential to the role deep analytical experience, gained from large corporates or ideally Tier 1 consulting firms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • A keen sense of commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Ideally experience gained in consulting environments
  • Education: tertiary qualified, and/or MBA
