The Organisation

You will be working for a leading organisation based in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, working within a well-established procurement function. 

The Opportunity
 
This role is a newly created opportunity working specifically on ringfenced initiatives that are deemed as more strategic mostly within the Tech and Digital space however there will also be requirements to pivot as and when required across other indirect categories. This new role was created to free up workload across the senior leadership team, which means that these initiatives will be very highly complex in nature, and of significant profile both internally and externally. This role presents itself as a massive opportunity for someone who is keen to continue their career on an upward trajectory and would suit an experienced Category Manager looking to take the next step up. Continuous training and development will be provided to enable you to progress within the organisation, success within this role will open doors to promotion opportunities. A salary in line with market is on offer depending on experience, with the addition of a bonus as well as other strong benefits, this organisation also work on a Hybrid basis. 
 
Skills and Experience Required

Strategic sourcing experience gained within a complex organisation, value chain re-engineering and strategic / lateral thinking is critical to this position. Ideally strategic category experience within the technology and digital space, with experience and exposure to working on multiple complex projects simultaneously. Strong stakeholder management abilities will be key to this role, working with an inquisitive approach that will help provide solutions to stakeholders using initiative and commercial acumen. The successful candidate will be one that has and promotes a continuous improvement mindset, is a self-starter with strong communication skills and excellent commercial negotiation skills.
