About the Role
This Key Account Manager role is pivotal in driving growth for renowned outdoor brands, focusing on managing and developing key strategic accounts. You will take ownership of Tier 1 retail accounts, while also building and growing relationships with Tier 2 customers, including independent retailers and buying groups. The role offers a balance of account management and business development, with a focus on expanding the portfolio into new retail channels such as DIY, big-box retailers, and grocery. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will contribute to shaping the business’s strategy, ensuring its success in a competitive market.
Skills and Experience Required
To excel in this role, you will bring at least 3 years of sales or account management experience within the consumer goods industry with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets. Strong commercial acumen, experience with retail operations, and an ability to engage with independent and big-box retailers are essential. You will need excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, along with a collaborative and adaptable mindset to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. A willingness to travel nationally is also required, as is the passion for driving growth and making a meaningful impact.
